Scattered Denial Episode 7: What Has Changed?
So, what has changed since our camera’s stopped rolling in the summer of 2023? Plenty. The film appears to have struck a nerve within the interventional community.
Episode 7 will explore how:
• Some hospital administrations are beginning to invest in new protective technologies• Physicians are coming together, and societies are prioritizing radiation safety• New technologies are emerging and/or are being refined to aid in this transition to safety• Different technologies are better suited for different uses. Change will be incremental and take time• Some of these technologies are providing protection for other sub-specialties that work beyond the heart• Other futuristic technologies have moved from theory to practical patient use• We are reminded of what’s at stake when a colleague like Dean Kereiakes suddenly becomes a quadriplegic
• The financial costs to a hospital can be calculated and there is data on how much these new technologies do protect

To maintain the quality of the brand, Episode 7 must and will keep its editorial independence. The goal of the episode is to update what has changed, what we missed the first time, and what the space looks like today. It’s that simple. We cannot concern ourselves with pay-to-play or about equal time. We will be driven by value of content, not by value of investment.
Ways to make sure everyone is involved lies with you. It will be up to ORSIF (when interviewed) to fairly speak on what technologies are out there (both members and potential future members). Also, any technology is free to reach out to us and have their technology featured in any of our shooting locations if deemed appropriate or if it works in conjunction with the featured technology.
We need to raise $75K.
